Baggage Allowances

Travel Documents for Canada

Canadian citizens travelling domestically need valid government-issued photo ID. For international travel, a valid Canadian passport is required. Visa requirements vary by destination.

Check-in Information

Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure for most airlines. Airport check-in counters typically open 3 hours before international flights and 2 hours before domestic flights.

Airport Security Tips

• Arrive at least 2 hours early for domestic, 3 hours for international flights.
• Liquids must be in containers of 100ml or less, in a clear 1L resealable bag.
• Remove laptops and large electronics from bags at security.
• Wear easy-to-remove shoes and avoid excessive metal jewelry.

Travelling with Children

Children under 2 can travel as lap infants on domestic flights (free or reduced fare). Children 2 and older require their own seat. Unaccompanied minor services are available on most major Canadian airlines for children aged 8-17.
